Circle of Seasons

Rekindle wild and natural rhythms through rest, ritual, and presence. Join us for an immersion into the seasons - attuning to lunar cycles, natural elements, and place. Together, we’ll explore practices and rituals that help us be connected, whole, and present in this loud world.

What is Circle of Seasons? Four seasonal retreats at specially selected locations across Montana, from the forests and mountains of western Montana to the grasslands and rivers in the east. At each retreat, you will have the opportunity to explore different practices and rituals, discovering what you like and what is most aligned with your own preferences and spirit. This exploration will include experiences like forest bathing and contrast therapy; learning about lunar cycles, altars, the elements, astrology, medicinal plants, and rocks and minerals; and creating your own magical items to take home with you like altar cloths, candles, wreaths, and plant bundles.

Who is it for? People looking to discover or deepen practices rooted in natural cycles and rhythms in a curated, supported, and co-created community. Circle of Seasons is for those of us looking for a little more magic in our lives. Each retreat will have a maximum of eight guests to ensure we can fully experience the peace, quiet, and power of these special places.

The fall, winter, and spring retreats will begin with lunch on Friday and end with lunch and a closing circle early Sunday afternoon. You will be able to arrive mid-morning and have time to explore and settle in at each location. The summer river trip will begin late morning on Saturday and end Monday afternoon. The full moon occurs on Sunday, so this shift in days ensures we can enjoy this phase to its fullest. We will share lodging options for the evening prior to the retreat start of those of you interested. Each retreat will have an opening and closing circle, learning workshops, creative time to make your own magical items to take home with you, time for rest and meditation, time to swim, soak, and immerse yourself in nature, and evening gatherings around a fire.

Pricing. We have intentionally selected simple yet comfortable lodging options to make these retreats more financially accessible. Included in the price is basic lodging, all meals, non-alcoholic drinks, and learning and materials. If you’d like something more private or comfortable, each retreat has a lodging upgrade that can be added onto the retreat price.

Circle of Seasons, all four retreats, total cost is $2,480. Fall, Winter, and Spring Retreats are $555 each and the Summer river trip is $855. A $500 deposit is required to reserve your spot for all four retreats. A $200 deposit is required for each individual retreat.

Cancellation policy. The deposit is non-refundable. If you have to cancel outside of 30 days from the retreat start date it can be applied to another experience within 12 months. It can only be reapplied one time.

The remaining registration amount is 100% refundable up to 60 days of the retreat start date. Within 60 days, no refunds will be made unless we are able to fill the open spot.

We realize these trips are an investment. For this reason we highly recommend that you purchase trip insurance. There are many options to cover unforeseen circumstances. In the past, clients have purchased Global Rescue or Travel Guard.

Plein air painting is simply and beautifully the act of painting outdoors, and the lower Yellowstone River is perhaps one of the most idyllic settings for this 4-day/3-night inclusive trip. We are thrilled to welcome Tandy Miles Riddle, an award-winning fine artist based in Livingston, MT, as our instructor and co-host.
